# List alert mutes

> Every alert mute this organization has, in force or expired: what each one suppresses, why, when it expires, where it came from, and whether it is currently in force (active). ends_at null means the mute lasts until it is removed; a non-null ends_at in the past means it has already expired, and is kept, and answered here, as history rather than pruned (a REST facade's GET/DELETE can still address an expired row directly, so this listing does too). What an IN-FORCE mute stops is the paging and the automatic investigation, not the recording: a matching alert is still stored, with status muted, which is a status get_active_alerts does not answer, so it is on the alerts page rather than anywhere on this surface.

A resource-shaped endpoint onto the same tool surface the MCP server
(/api/mcp) reaches. Every gate, refusal and audit row a caller sees here is
the exact one the MCP endpoint answers for the same tool. Authenticated with
an API key holding the api:admin scope, or the read-only api:config_read
    scope for GET alone.
